BioThis journal pretty much exists soley to comment on other peoples journals. So there will probably never be much of substance written here.
However if you want to talk to me on lj just drop a random comment on one of my few entries and I'll be happy to talk to you.
I'm a twenty-something college student, majoring in Japanese. My hobbies/interests include anime and manga, Japanese culture and history, reading, video games, and western comics. I read fantasy and science fiction novels, manga, and fanfiction. Because I read more than I watch TV, I tend to prefer manga to anime. Like many female anime fans, I like yaoi and slash. Most of the fanfiction I read is yaoi or slash. When it comes to fanfiction, I'm open to most pairings, and will read almost any pairing once. While I generally prefer yaoi, I like some het pairings as well.
I fandom hop. My attention tends to rotate through my various interests, focusing on one for a week to a month, before moving to another one. This is especially true with fanfiction. I prefer to read a few months worth of fanfiction updates for one author or fandom, instead of reading daily updates in a wide variety of fandoms. So I comment very sporadically in fanfiction communities. Although this makes me a rarely-seen presence in a lot of fanfic communities, I consider my self a rover instead of a lurker.
